Elevating Community Living with Tropical-Inspired, Functional Landscaping – “Under The Sun”, Devanahalli
At Under The Sun, a premium gated community near Devanahalli, we were tasked with designing a landscape that balances the elegance of tropical aesthetics with the practical needs of modern living—all while responding to the site’s dry, open climate and breezy plateau conditions.
The design thoughtfully incorporates bioswale streams, not only as a sustainable water management solution but also as aesthetic features that mimic nature’s quiet resilience.
Functionality and leisure blend seamlessly across the layout. A shaded seating area invites residents to relax or interact, near the swimming pool, while winding walkways create fluid movement across zones. These paths connect to a productive kitchen garden, and a well-defined play area, ensuring that every member of the household—from pets to children—has a space of their own.
A small fruit orchard was introduced to foster a cooler microclimate, support pollinators, and encourage community harvesting. An informal gathering space—nestled within the garden’s natural contours—becomes a multipurpose hub for connection, celebration, or quiet moments.
Designed with a deep sensitivity to site, climate, and lifestyle, this project at Under The Sun exemplifies how resilient, function-forward landscape design can enhance the aesthetic appeal, ecological value, and emotional warmth of gated community living.
